Gabe's Baptism

This weekend Addison and I traveled to Virginia with mom, dad and Abbie to visit Matt, Taryn and Gabe. Gabe was baptized on Saturday at their new beautiful church. We spent the rest of the long weekend hanging out, visiting the sites along the mall in downtown DC, and eating! As soon as we got there on Thursday Addy got really sick. Her fever spiked so we took her right to the urgent care. I was worried she had the flu or strep, which would stink b/c we'd have to keep her way away from Gabe. Turns out it was an ear infection. Antibiotics didn't fix her as quickly as I thought it would though. She didn't sleep much any of the nights we were there and was pretty fussy and clingy - very un-Addison like. She perked up a bit by Saturday and is fine today. It's always pretty exhausting with a sick kid.

We had perfect weather for walking around the monuments on Friday. Abbie had never seen them, so we saw the Lincoln, the Jefferson, the Washington, the WWII memorial, the Korean, the Vietnam Wall......that may be all. We saw the capital building and the White House from the distance.

Gabe's baptism was on Saturday and he did great. Taryn found a perfect baptism outfit for him. We were so glad to be able to spend time with Gabe and let Addy get to know him better. They LOVED each other. Gabe is such a good boy - he's got a perfect disposition and is just so happy! We even got to see him roll over for the first time!
