HAPPY EASTER

We had a great Easter weekend full of egg hunts. I had Friday off work and the girls and I hung out, ran errands, visited the doctor (as usual), and decorated bird houses - we made 2 fabulous bird houses. Lily said that one was for blue birds and one was for bumble bees, so we decorated accordingly. Saturday morning it was FREEZING, raining and snowing...but we went to the neighborhood egg hunt anyway. We bundled the girls up and walked over to the elementary school field. They separated the areas for "under 5" and "over 5". The five year olds got done with their egg hunt in no time, while the little kids were walking around going "there's a green one, there's a pink one". They got the hang of it eventually though.

And then....the Easter Bunny came! He arrived at our house sometime during the night on Saturday night. We know this because on Easter morning there were 2 Easter Egg baskets filled with goodies and eggs hidden throughout the living room. Who could have done such a thing, but the Easter Bunny? The girls loved what he left - eggs filled with goodies, peeps, chocolate bunnies, and cool sun glasses. Lily found each and every egg he hid. We didn't think he hid the eggs in very tricky places.

After our egg hunt we went to Mass. Betty joined us. Addy was a real gem during church b/c we went to 11:00 mass, which is right during her morning nap time. So I spent a lot of time in the vestibule...problem was that the church was so crowded that people were sitting out there watching the mass. It wasn't the typical escape for people with crying babies and toddlers that it usually is.

After mass the Jacobi's (John's parents) invited us all over for Easter brunch and another egg hunt. Lily got to play with Ana and John's nephews. They live at the Noblesville Airport, so there is a lot of room for little people to run and play. The funniest part was that Lily didn't want to take her Easter dress off before we got there, so she was wearing her dress, a sweater, and the sunglasses that the Easter bunny brought her. It still seemed a little chilly so we borrowed Collins' bomber jacket for her to wear too...check out her style. She's a real trend setter!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Sorry we couldn't make it to the Haute this year!

So sad it was such a cold Easter! Doesn't look like it slowed Lilian down at all though :) So much fun!

Yes, we have very fun holidays! Nothing slows Lily down. Barclay and I were just saying yesterday that it's exhausting watching her sometimes. When we said that i think she was doing her 15th jump off the couch :)

Awe - I wish we could have seen you guys on Easter. We need to get to the Haute soon..it's been a long time since we were there. My mouth is a mess. It hurts to eat so I've been eating a liquid diet since Friday - yuck! Can you guys make it up here next Saturday for Addy's b-day party?
