Funny Lily-isms - 2nd edition

I need to give you some background for this edition of funny Lily comments - -Lily has had a lot of questions lately about where people "live" before they are in their mommy's tummies, and where they go when they die. I've answered all questions by explaining that people start out AND end up in Heaven. We'll go into more detail when she's older. Well, she somehow learned about graves. Who knows how? And also, the other day on the way to the pool they saw a dead bull frog. So it gave rise to many questions. How did he die, when will he wake up, etc etc.

On the way home from gymnastics today, we drove by a cemetary. So Lily said, "mommy, do people live under those (gravestones) when they die". I said yes, that's where they sleep. Then she said "Do bullfrogs live under those things when they die too?" I am not sure of the answer to that one!

When talking about princesses (which both girls love), I always emphasize that appearances don't matter, and what matters is in your heart. This "teaching" started when all of the girls at day care (mine included) started with mean little comments about anyone who was not wearing a dress. So Lily said to me "I wish I could be a princess". My response was " you are". She says "no, Mommy, I mean a REAL princess". So I remind Lily that it's what is in her heart that makes her a princess. Her response was "Well, Ariel is a princess because of her dress". So much for getting my message across!

And finally, when we were at dinner I explained that I was drinking Barclays lemonade b/c when you get married you are forced to share everything. Lily's immediate response was, I'm going to get married with you, right daddy?".

Addy is really coming into her own too - next thing you know we'll have Addy-isms 1st edition on here. Her comments are more cute than anything else. She likes to tell us all that she's not silly, she's sweet. Plus, she's learned how to say "L"s, so she says Lily's name properly now and emphasizes the "l"'s strongly. It sounds so cute. She tells Lily to not say potty words all of the time. Earlier today she told me something was "awesome", which was a hilarious word to hear a little person use.

Carey- Funny to hear the "death" conversations....so get this...you know how Liam has that snapping turtle...well MOMMY forgot about it for 2-3 days and it was pretty much knocking on deaths door, so I told him it was dead..see his eyes are closed and he's not moving. He proceeded to beg and plead with me to just give him water and he'll come back to life... I insisted that the thing was dead, but to be a good sport I gave the thing some water....and low and behold the snapping turtle opened his eyes and "came back to life" so now Liam thinks that if you give lifeless animals water, they come back. Major confusion has set in at this house, mostly for me...I could of SWORE that thing was dead!!
