Merry Christmas!!!!

We had a busy Christmas week! Friday we went to Uncle Tom's house for the Haley Christmas party. It was good to see everyone - especially Father Mike. Baby Michael also got to meet almost the whole clan for the first time.

Saturday was Michael's baptism. He was such a good baby - didn't even cry when the water was poured on his head. There was a crowd there, and afterwards we went and had dinner at Kathy and Roger's new house. Lily stole a present that was supposed to be for Michael from under the tree....good grief!

On Christmas Eve we went to Mass and then Barclay and I exchanged gifts with everyone before heading back to Indy for Santa's first arrival at our house! Lily had fun, but was a little overwhelmed with all the toys on Christmas morning.

Christmas Day we went to the Jacobi's for brunch after exchanging gifts. Later that day we went over to Barclay's parents' house for Christmas dinner. Betty prepared yet another extravagent meal and we all left feeling very fat! The Jacobi's joined us there as well, and we also had a toast to John and Ana's engagement.

Finally, I went back to the Haute on Tuesday and Wed b/c Barclay had to work and I didn't. So I wanted to spend some more time with Matt, Joe, Taryn, Mel , and baby Michael while they were in town. We finally got Lily into the family overalls - we've all worn them starting with my mom - it was very cute.

Christmas Fun (or not so fun)!

While Barclay was working on our old house, Lily and I went out and did some Christmas activities. We visited Santa and made a ginger bread house. The visit to Santa was hilarious b/c Lily was scared to pieces of him when I put her on his lap. She just cried and cried. There were other things to do there, though, like making ornaments and eating cookies - so she had fun after she got off of Santa's lap! The guy running the thing felt bad that we didn't get a good picture, so he took a picture of Lily and I with a blow up Santa! Pretty funny.

Believe it or not, Lily thought making ginger bread houses was the best! It really was pretty fun. Marsh set out all of these tables with ginger bread making supplies. I made the house and Lily ate pieces of graham cracker and candy. She tried to help by handing me different things. Next on the agenda is going to get our Christmas tree. We've got all the rest of our decorations up, but no tree yet.
