New Pics of the Girls

Addison is changing so much every day. She's already bigger and more alert. Here are a few cute pictures of Lily and Addy doing what they do :)

Baby updates

Well, Addison is eight days old and we've been home from the hospital for six days now. I am so happy that we decided to keep Lily out of day care while I'm home on leave. I can already tell that it's going to be 100% harder to go back to work this time than it was last time. It is such a blessing to be able to stay home with both girls for 12 weeks and spend time just being their mom without the constant stress of work. Lily is a riot. She absolutely LOVES her sister, but she is reacting to the new baby by being very needy - especially towards Barclay. She also has a hard time letting the baby use her old things - like the swing and moses basket!



















We've been running Grand Central Station out of our house since we got home from the hospital. Mom stayed until Saturday, Barclay's family was here most of the day Saturday, Abbie and Blake stayed Saturday night; Friends came over on Sunday, and Grandma just left. Grandma is so awesome...she brought by several days worth of dinners for us.














The first week we were home the weather was really bad - it even snowed! It's nice and warm now, though, so we're able to get outside and play.

Lily had her 18 month doctor's appt, and Addison had her 1 week appt yesterday. It was quite an experience to have both girls there at the same time. They screamed from 9:45- 11:00...the whole time we were there. The results were good though - everyone's healthy. Lily is a whopping 22 lbs, and Addy is already 7 lbs - 2 ounces more than her birth weight. I figure Addy should catch up to Lily by the end of the year :)




Lack of sleep is the only thing (besides my 30 extra pounds that stuck around after I delivered) that has been hard to get used to. We are trying to sneak in naps every chance we get, but that's rare b/c both girls don't like to sleep at the same time.

Addison's Arrival

Baby Addison (Addy) arrived at 3:07 pm on April 9th. She weighed 6 lbs 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. She's beautiful. Blond hair and blue eyes for now...we'll see if that sticks. The hospital stay was fast and kind of chaotic. We finally got home yesterday and mom is here to help until Saturday. Thank goodness! We really need the extra set of hands for a few days - I'd take her for weeks if she didn't have to go back to work. Barclay just struggled out of bed this morning and made his way back to work...poor guy didn't get much sleep last night. Overall, though, we're doing great. Can't wait for everyone to come visit the new arrival. Until then...here are some pictures. (on second thought - the site says it's too busy and I can't load pics. I'll try again tonight)

Easter

We had a pretty low key Easter this year, as we were scheduled to have a baby the next day. The Easter bunny came to our house, we went to Church, and we had dinner at Betty and Peters. Just thought I'd post a few pics from Sunday.
