Children's Museum

.

We had a low key valentines day this year, which was nice b/c we could hang out with the girls. They had a party at day care and exchanged Valentines with the other kids - all of the kids (ALL of them) picked Dora valentines with the exception of one little girl who picked Hello Kitty ones. Amy made them Valentine cookies and sent some home...they were yummy! Addy likes to chew on her valentines and Lily hands them out and says "this means I love you". Mom sent some butterfly tatoos in the mail and those were a hit.

We've had another busy, but fun weekend. Friday we celebrated Jessica's birthday downtown at Barcelona Tapas. It was a good time, but I was pooped from the week so we didn't do anything afterwards. Abbie and Blake were out our house when I got home. They stayed the night with us and we went to the Children's Museum on Saturday. I'd never taken the girls b/c I didn't think they had much for little bitty kids. Wrong! They had tons of stuff for babies and toddlers. We only had a couple of hours there...next time we go we'll need at least 4 hours to enjoy everything. Addy LOVED the carousel. She liked it even more than Lily...she cracked up the whole time she was on it. Lily liked a lot of the things, but probably liked the slide in the Curious George exhibit the most. They also had a little house where kids could "make ice cream" and serve it to their parents. She liked that a lot too, but was frustrated b/c she couldn't find a spoon :) My camera was running out of batteries while we were there, so I didn't get too many good pictures. Don't worry, though, I'm considering a membership so we'll be back! Melissa, you'll have to bring Mike up here one weekend so we can do the zoo one day and the children's museum the next.

Anyway, last night we went to Greenwood to go to a wedding. One of the girls I work with got married to a guy who we used to work with. My camera was charging while the wedding was going on, so I have no pics of that. Abbie and Blake stayed and watched the girls till we got home and then drove back to the Haute really late.
Today I had hoped to see mom and dad, but mom is STILL sick so they're not coming up. So sad. I just can't handle the thought of driving a lot today, so we're sticking around home and we'll see them next Sunday.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

YEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Lily just went potty on the potty for the first time!!!! Now she gets to wear underpants over her pull ups!

Keepin on keepin' on

We've had a really busy couple of weeks with work, sick kids, weekend commitments, etc. Yesterday we were able to squeeze some fun outings in to the mix. I ran a valentines day 5 k in the early morning. I went with 3 others from work who I've been running with every Saturday and sometimes during the week. It was really cold, but I think that made the run easier.

After the girls naps we went to Butler. Michael is the chaplin for the Loyola girls basketball team. Loyola played Butler on Saturday, so we went to the game. Aunt Kate and Aunt Theresa's families were there too. It was pretty cool. Lily got to visit with the bulldog for a little while. After the game we went to Aunt Theresa's to visit with everyone for a minute.

We had to be home by 5:00 b/c Barclays parents were coming over to watch the girls while he and I went to grab a bite to eat and go to the Pacer's game. We went to this cool little pub called Andrus O'Reilly's before the game for burgers and drinks. We also got to play a bowling video game and play trivia (a la BW3's.)...haven't done that since we had kids! We went to the game but left shortly after half time. See Larry Bird under the arm of the basketball goal?
When we were walking back to the parking garage in Barclay's office building, we passed some stones that had names on them.....I just happened to look down when we passed this one...what are the chanceS???

Anyway, today I'd planned on taking the girls to the haute to visit everyone. We've been missing them. Mom called as we were walking out the door and said she's really sick. Hope she gets better so we can try to meet up next Sunday.
