Beads!

I cleaned out the coat closet yesterday and the girls discovered my stash of mardis gras beads. Their choices made it clear which one is going to be the more challenging teenager....I already knew :)

Happy Birthday Baby Gabe

Matt, Taryn and Gabe were in the Haute this weekend b/c Tiffany (Taryn's sister) got married on Saturday. Of course we couldn't let them be so close and not see them, so we spent the weekend in Terre Haute as well. On Sunday we celebrated Gabe's b-day party. All of his little friends came by to wish him a happy birthday and he was the only one who didn't freak out when it came time to share the toy car....good job Gabe! See you in less than 2 months! I didn't get many pics b/c Barclay didn't bring the new camera until Saturday night and I"m still learning how to use it.

AIRPLANES

After church today we went to spend a couple of hours with a lady Barclay works with. Her grandkids were spending the day with her and wanted to play with the girls. Afterwards, we headed to the Noblesville Airport (aka "the Jacobi's) for a charity fly in/hog roast. All I could think was "Michael would LOOOOVVVVVEEEEE this. It was so cool. The planes were landing and taking off right in front of us. The weather was again absolutely perfect - a little strangely hot for October, but that's okay with me. The girls took a picture in a toy marine jeep for their uncles and PaPa.

Happy Birthday Lilian!

Lily's birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated big time on Saturday. Abbie took those pics. If we beg her, maybe she'll post the b-day party pics on her blog (PLEASE Abbie - just 2 or 3 of the kids and maybe the piniata ). For now, though, she sent them to me on snapfish so I have the hard copies. The weather was PERFECT - it was 80 degrees and the leaves were changing - a perfect combo of summer and fall. We went to Geist Park for the party, which was a perfect call. She had 8 of her little "people" at the party and we would not have been able to handle them in the house - we can hardly handle 2 of them in the house! We had a picnic shelter right next to the playground so the kids could run to their hearts content! The party was Dora themed, so everything was bright yellow and blue with a piniata! We had a lot of fun! We came back home to open presents b/c we had told the kids parents not to bring presents (only a few of them listened)....Lily got spoiled completely rotten. I'm actually a little worried that she gets too much and can't appreciate it all.

Anyway, she had a wonderful time and is thrilled that she gets to be the birthday girl for the whole weekend. It's very cute.

No camera.....again!

Well, later this week we plan to purchase our 4th camera of the year. It's very sad actually. Let's relive the demise of our family cameras #1 - dropped on concrete during Jordan and Diane's wedding, #2 - dropped in toilette by Addison, #3 - stolen by cleaning lady. Yes, that's right...our cleaning lady stole our camera. Her boss fired her and is reimbursing us for the camera, but good grief people! Anyway, hopefully we'll have #4 before Lily's b-day, but I've asked Abbie to bring her camera with her this weekend just in case.
