Pensacola Trip

Everyone got together in Pensecola this weekend for a quick spring break getaway. It was so great to have everyone together again! The weather was nice and sunny, but it wasn't warm enough to swim in the ocean. So we hung out in the sun a lot, but didn't do much swimming. Thankfully, they had an indoor pool, so Lily got to swim a few times in there.

We got a big announcement from Joe and Mel. They're having a baby! Yeah! Apparently, Melissa, uncharacteristically turned down a few glasses of wine before we even went out. So some people suspected, but I hadn't a clue.

Richard and Leigh, my friends from Mobile, drove over to Pensecola on Sunday. They brought their two little girls, who were just babies last time I saw them. It was so good to see all of them even if it was just for a quick visit.

Our condo was so nice. I wish I'd taken more pictures of the inside. We spent a lot of time just hanging out there. I'd like to say we slept a lot, but well, the baby doesn't allow for that :) To her credit, though, she did let us go out to eat a couple of times and really maintained her cool. McGuires Irish Pub was great. We went there on Tuesday night. They have a 5 k race every Tuesday, so it was packed with runners wearing green tee shirts and drinking bear. Everyone that goes sticks dollar bills on the ceiling, wall, fans, etc - they're everywhere. Taryn made one for us and stapled it to the wall. Apparently the $ gets taken down and donated to charity every so often. So Matt put about 10 staples into ours :)

Little Second Cousins

Uncle Bill and Aunt Beth had everyone over today to meet little Jacob. Kevin and Danielle were in town for the first time since he's been born, so no one had met him yet. We all went over to their house for pizza and the second cousins got to hang out and have their pictures taken together. Here's one of the babies with their mommies.

For those of you who haven't met all of the babi
es yet, here is a good picture of them all lined up. From left to right - Lily, John, Jacob, Olivia, and Eddie. As I'm sure you can imagine, they didn't stay like this for long before the crying started :)

We are constantly giving Lily kisses and rasberries on her belly. So she must have learned a thing or two from us, because she kept trying to "get" Olivia with kisses and rasberries. It scared Olivia a little, but it was really funny!

St. Pat's Party

We went to Terre Haute on Saturday for the St. Patty's day party. It wasn't as much fun as usual, but we had an okay time. We went with Jessica and Nikki, and also met up with Sarah and Keith there. They had Irish dancers, a bagpiper, plenty of food and drinks, and a silent auction. The silent auction this year consisted of quite a few life sized bud girl cut outs. When we left the bidding on those was up to $15. There were also all the usual campaign tee shirts running around. Mike Ellis shook hands at the door; but Steve Johnson had the most tee shirts. Good thing they're running in different races, otherwise it would be a close call.
After we left the party, we went over to the Terminal. Barclay was hoping to run into Melissa there, but she was apparently home asleep. Joe said she's been gone for only 36 hours and he's already struggling :)
