Some kids like blankets....

Lily is just not your typical kid.....for example, instead of having a favorite blanket or teddy bear, Lily has taken to carrying around a sock in her mouth. This is one we really hope doesn't continue into her school years :)

9 Month Doc Visit

Lily's 9 month doctor's visit was yesterday. Boy did she ever hate the doctor visit this time. She smiled at Dr. Neff when he was talking to her, but as soon as he tried to listen to her chest, look in her ears, etc, the screaming began. So you can imagine how she reacted when she got the shots! She had a good grip on my arm and buried her head in my shoulder. They think that she may not have asthma after all...it may be reflux that is causing her breathing probs. So now she's on meds for that. We'll see how it works. She weighs 16 lbs 14 ounces....small but healthy.

Abbie's on her way up here today to babysit and hang out while Barclay and I go to a party that one of the partners in his firm is having. It's at Mama Corrolla's - my fav Italian restaurant.

Joe and Mel, I looked for a little Colt's jersey for your baby yesterday at TJ Maxx. I was so excited b/c they had a bunch of baby jersey's on a great sale. So I walk to the register, ready to buy it, and then I realize that it was an Edgerinn James jersey! So close.

Age of Destruction

I have been the worst "blog keeper" lately! We've been so busy and doing so many things, but my camera is at the shop getting fixed. We have to use our video camera to take pictures and that's just not as handy or accessible. We've been doing fun summer things, but of course I have no pictures of that. Went to the Raskeller recently for a going away party for two friends of mine who are moving to Austin. I used to go there all the time in law school, and I forgot how fun it was to just sit outside, have a drink, and listen to music. When Joe and Mel were in town we spent a lot of time over the weekends in Terre Haute hanging out with them. I got to witness Joe suck it up at Geezer Golf. Abbie beat him like 20 times. Mom and Abbie were up here last Sunday. We spent the whole day at the pool and I got burnt. My skin will probably start wrinkling 10 years in advance due to this burn - it's awful. Definitely no pics of that will get posted :) It's so great to have the neighborhood pool in the summer. Jess and I also went out on the lake with mom's kayak. Jess almost got attacked by a water snake. We didn't go far b/c the lake was packed with party boaters - we didn't want to get mowed over! Other than that, it's been work work work - can't get a day off to save my life.

Lily is growing FAST. This is truly the age of destruction - she loves to take everything off shelves; scatter her toys around the house; throw food and cups on the floor and wait for you to pick them up. She's a riot!
