DISNEY

We made so much of our Disney trip that it's hard to fit it in to one post...but I'll try! The story first...pictures second....Jordan, Diane and Aidan McCollum joined us for the trip. They're our good friends from California. It was wonderful to have them along. They're perfect travel buddies. Barclay was very sad when they left - really, he took a few hours and mourned their return to California. Aidan is Addison's age - they are just a a couple of weeks apart in age. Diane and Jordan's daughter Ashley just started college and couldn't make it. She was mad at her parents for leaving her behind! We stayed at Saratoga Springs. It was a perfect set up with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. The hotel had a wonderful pool and a playground, and it was walking distance from downtown Disney. Barclay was already in Orlando for a conference and the girls and I travelled down to meet him on Friday. They did fine on the plane. Jordan and Diane met us later that night. We went to Epcot for dinner and fireworks on Friday night. Saturday was spent at Magic Kingdom; Sunday morning we had breakfast with the Little Einsteins - big stuff - then toured Hollywood Studios. Sunday night Barclay and I had our date night at Fulton's crab shack in downtown disney. On Monday we spent the day at Animal Kingdom and then Jordan and Diane had their date night on Monday night. Tuesday we were at Epcot ALL DAY. It was my favorite day. In the morning we did all of the kid stuff - nemo ride and aquarium, imagination station, dinasaur exhibit, etc. Then in the afternoon we took a booze cruise around to all of the different countries in the "world exhibit". The rule was that you had to have a drink from each country we passed by. There are 11 countries and we probably made it to 6 or 7 of them. It was fun. That night we had dinner with the princesses. The kids LOVED it. They got to meet Ariel (when she was human), Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, and Jasmine. Continuing Lily's boob obsession, she grabbed Jasmine's boob. Too funny - we didn't even notice until we saw the pictures! On Wed it rained and Jordan and Diane left to go back to California. That night we went back to Magic Kingdom. It rained while we were there, but we managed to see a few things that we hadn't seen on Saturday. We went to a Monster's Inc show and Addy made it on TV. Lily was jealous. We also went on a toy story ride. Then on Thursday before our plane left we went to downtown disney and then hung out at the pool. We got back to Indy late Thurs night. This morning Lily woke up sick. We took her to the doc and it's strep - talk about jumping right back in to the real world! Anyway, we had a wonderful time! Here are just a few of the 25o pictures I took :)

Our Lily... a budding comic

Lily has just been busting out with the funniest comments lately. I usually don't have time to commit them to memory, but today I decided to document a days worth......So here is the list of funny Lily-isms from 9/1/08

1) Mommy, I need boobies RIGHT NOW (loudly at the pool)
2) Me to Lily "is there a frog in your throat?". Lily's response "yes, and it's going to jump out"
3) God is cool, so is spiderman
4) That is a big wasp, it's going to swallow me
5) (while standing on her tippy toes) "Now I'm taller, I need boobies "(it's a hot topic right now, what can I say)
6) A few statements she used in attempts to discipline Addy
-" get back here you"
- " no, Addy, don't hit me, I'm your big sister"
- "Addy's bad cause she's one".
7) Is Hank (baby cousin to be born on Wed) Addy's age?

This is just a sampling...the funny comments literally never stop with Lily lately. She tries to talk "bigger" than she is. It's adorable and keeps us giggling.
