Thanksgiving 07

This year we had Thanksgiving at Betty and Peter's house. We ate too much of Betty's fabulous cooking and left in a food coma. We didn't make it to the Haute until Saturday night b/c we wanted to wait and go on Abbie's birthday. It was a fun weekend and we actually had a little time to relax...for once :)

Congratulations!

We would like to congratulate our great friends Jordan McCollum and Diane Cote on their recent engagement. After a whirlwind courtship (18+ years) they are getting married in New Orleans on December 8th. We look forward to sharing their special day in The Big Easy.

Jordan, Diane and Ashely recently celebrated the addition of new son/brother Aidan and are definitely ending 2007 on another high note.

Meeting Baby Gabe

We traveled all the way to Haymarket Virginia this weekend to meet our new nephew/cousin Gabriel. Matt and Taryn were nice enough to host the whole lot of us for a few days even though Gabe is only 3 weeks old. Everyone made it except Barclay - he stayed behind b/c of work. The girls and I drove out on Thursday night with Abbie. It was amazing how good the girls were in the car both ways. DVD players work wonders :) Friday night we hung out, kissed Gabe a lot, and chatted with everyone. Saturday we went to a really neat winery that's just around the corner from Matt and Taryn's house. It has just been open for a few months. We took all 4 kids and it actually worked out really well. They even had a little toy area set up in the corner, so Lily and Michael were easily occupied. Addy and Gabe hung out and enjoyed the tasting with us! Sunday we went to Church and then had Thanksgiving dinner. Then we all put on our Colts jerseys and witnessed the whole disappointing Sunday night football game. We drove back on Monday and get in really really late Monday night/Tuesday morning. As always, it was great to hang out with everyone for a few days!

A Spook-tacular Halloween

We finally convinced Lily to wear her tiger costume. Day care had a little Halloween party - all of the kids dressed up, colored Halloween pictures, sang Halloween songs, etc. The first picture is of all of the 2 year old girls, and the one boy, Cameron, who is three. At night we took the girls to the houses on our cul de sac and then handed out candy. Addy was a little hungry before we left so I took it as an opportunity to feed a baby dragon for the first time!
