Richard and Leigh's visit

Our friends Richard and Leigh from Alabama came to visit for the weekend. Richard and Barclay were at a conference in Chicago together, and Richard and Leigh caught a ride back to Indy on Friday night w/Barclay. It was nice to have them back in town! Scott had a party to get everyone together while they were here. Some of us (ie: me) couldn't drink, but I still had a good time. Leigh and I bought some sweet shoes at DSW during our shopping expedition on Saturday. I needed some new shoes from work b/c the heels on my old work shoes (the ones I wear almost every day) had worn down so much that I looked like one of my legs was an inch shorter than the other :) Gimpy gimpy. So anyway, Leigh and I got the same ones - check out the twin shoes!

On another note: Lily now loves the chair her great grandmother got for her. We keep her pooh bear in that chair, but she pulls him out now and tries to climb in.

Labor Day Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. It was so nice to have a three day weekend - we need more of those! I'll try to post some pictures later this week. I forgot my camera each time we did something! Barclay had his camera phone though - so we'll try to download those tomorrow and see how they turn out.
On Friday night we went to the last Indian's game of the season. We only made it through 4 innings b/c Lily got tired. While she was still wide awake, though, she loved the clapping and the popcorn. Whenever the crowd clapped she'd get excited and start waving her arms up and down. Very cute.
Saturday we all went to Terre Haute to hang out with mom. She's a little lonely with Abbie at college and dad in Abu Dabi. We got to see the new furniture, paint and carpet - the house looks good.
Sunday we didn't do much except lots of housework and yardwork - it needed done, though, so it was good to have the extra day to do it.
Today mom came up here to spend the day. We went on a long walk - Lily was in the backpack. Then we went kayaking and biking. I brought my camera kayaking, but it took video instead of pics, and I can't post those.
Now the weekend's over and it's back to work work work! I think we get another long weekend in about a month for Columbus day. Already looking forward to it.
